What are the 4 types of property ?

There are four basic properties of numbers: commutative, associative, distributive, and identity. You should be familiar with each of these.

Commutative Property :-

Commutative property states that the change in the order of numbers in an addition or multiplication operation does not change the sum or the product. The commutative property of addition is written as: A + B = B + A.

 Associative Property :-

The associative property is a math rule that the way in which factors are grouped in a multiplication problem does not change the product.

Distributive property definition :-

Definition : The distributive property lets you multiply a sum by multiplying each addend separately and then add the products. Consider the first example, the distributive property lets you "distribute" the 5 to both the 'x' and the '2'.

The identity property of 1 says that any number multiplied by 1 keeps its identity . In other words, any number multiplied by 1 stays same. The reason the number stays the same is because multiplying by 1 means we have 1 copy of the number. For example, 32x1=32.
